Antique Green Glaze

Anyone know of an antique looking green glaze (like those old California craft pots)?

Thanks in advance.

RE:Antique Green Glaze

You can try TECO GREEN wich is like the dark green glazes of that period. Does not look good on white clay bodies. Try with tan or iron red bodies.

Here is the glaze recipe for Teco Green

F4 Kona Feldspar - 51.0
Whiting - 19.0
EPK - 15.0
Zinc Oxide - 9.0
Silica - 6.0
Tin Oxide - 6.0
Black Copper Oxide - 4.0
Red Iron Oxide - 0.5
Bentonite - 2.0
Brushing Medium - 1.8

RE:Antique Green Glaze

Jade Greens are also similar to that kind of glaze. If they are too green, try mixing them with some matte white glazes.

Here is a recipe fo Xavier's Warm Jade Green

Talc - 9.0
Whiting - 16.0
Custer Feldspar - 40.0
3124 Ferro Frit - 9.0
EPK - 10.0
Silica - 16.0
Copper Carbonate - 4.0
Rutile - 6.0

RE:Antique Green Glaze

Thanks!

I only use white clay bodies so I will try the Jade Green.

I will post pictures when I get them.
