I had water damage to my studio and my bisque pots which were several years old are dirty. What should I do? I don't think rinsing will take care of it. Should I run it through a bisque cycle again, If so what temperature and to what cone. It is cone 6 stoneware that was previously bisqued to 05.
Thanks, Phil |

Hi Phil,
I sometimes spill wax-resist or other gunk on a bisqued pot. I just run it through the bisque firing again with the others.
In your case, I would rinse them very well in the sink. Let them dry out for a few days and re-bisque them to 05 or 06. |

Hello Phil!
I tried glazing a firing a pot that had been sitting for a few months. DO NOT DO IT! The glaze crawled very badly.
I would try running it through the bisque again. |

| I wonder what would happen if you ran the bisqued pot through the dish washer? |

I have had problems with pots I have had to bisque twice.
Cracks.
Mugs and bowls all crack in the bottom. I think the cracks are very tiny and only come out after the following glaze firing.
Just a warning. Probably easier just to remake your pots. |
