| I ordered some Duncan glazes online and I ordered glazes that have lead in them. I guess it's o.k. to fire in kiln, but not to use on items that will be eaten or drunk from? I understand that Duncan has discontinued their lead glazes. Thanks. |

I always avoid lead. Even if they are safe (I think they are even safe for food if they are fired to a high enough temperature) they can contaminate your kiln. Then the lead can get into other glazes you fire later.
It is best to just avoid lead. There are plenty of other options out there. |
